What a punch! I’m still processing the entangled cords of Darby Kane’s Pretty Little Wife. Lila Ridgefield, the pretty wife herself, has a thorny past that has calloused her heart. Her resolve to be a survivor rather than a forever victim is tested once again when she senses evil in her own home. Lila sets a plan in motion to take justice into her own hands and topples over layers of destruction in the small, college town community. All suspicion turns toward Lila in the disappearance of her husband while her ultimate fear of more sinister crimes continues to fester once she loses track of her husband’s body.

I recommend Pretty Little Wife for the ultimate mixture of thrilling suspense and a supremely satisfying ending.
